The ShotTrack Development team has recently launched a new application version and firmware update for the ViB-Nano. These updates bring significant improvements across various aspects of the device, and we trust that you will appreciate the enhanced functionality as much as we do.
Before proceeding with the update, it is crucial to note that this release introduces a completely new data structure, necessitating a formatting of the unit. Therefore, please ensure that any data stored on the device has been safely backed up before you start the update process.
To facilitate the update process, we will provide you with a link to upload the latest application. Once you receive the link, please follow these instructions:
- Uninstall the previous version of the application (Please note that this step is only required for the initial transition, and subsequent updates will not necessitate this action due to the new architecture).
- Install the most recent version of the application.
- Launch the application and click on the ShockAi icon, which will direct you to the about page.
- On the about page, click on the ShockAi icon five times consecutively. This action will grant you the ability to upgrade or downgrade firmware versions.
- Return to the main screen and search for your device. Tap on it to establish a connection.
- Once connected, access the ellipses (three dots located in the top right-hand corner) and select “Configure.”
- Scroll down and choose “Firmware” to proceed to the next step. Select version 2.5.3.
- After updating the firmware, reconnect to the device and return to the configure screen. Scroll down to “Format Disk” and press the corresponding option. Confirm the action. The ViB-Nano unit’s Red LED will illuminate for approximately three minutes, and subsequently, it will reappear on the list of available devices. Now, let’s proceed with creating a project on ShockAi cloud and linking it to your phone or tablet. Here are the steps:
- Open your web browser and navigate to www.shockai.co. Proceed to create an account using your email address.
- Check your email inbox for a message from ShockAi and click on the provided link to access the platform.
- Once you are logged in, enter a name for your project and create it.
- Open the project folder and click on “Link Device.”
- A QR code will be displayed. To link your phone or tablet, scan this QR code. Most phones come with a pre-installed QR reader, but if not, you can download one from your device’s app store.
- Scanning the QR code will automatically establish the link between your device and the application, ensuring that any files you upload are directed to the appropriate project folder.
