How do I update the Firmware in my VoD unit?

Please download the instructions here to update your firmware.

What are the Green connectors in the VoD tool kit used for?

The BNC connectors with the green terminals are for use with 75Ohm Coaxial Cable that has a braided shield that can be screwed in, making sure the center conductor is secured into the + (positive) port of the connector and the outer shielding is secured into the – (ground) port of the connector.

What are the Red connectors in the VoD tool kit for?

The BNC compression connectors with the blue ring around them are for use with 75Ohm RG59 Coaxial Cable and they can be compressed onto the endo of the cable with the supplied Compression tool and coaxial cable strippers.

The cable will then be ready to connect to the VoD unit.

What are the Blue connectors in the VoD tool kit for?

The BNC compression connectors with the blue ring around them are for use with 75Ohm RG6U Quad-Shield Coaxial Cable and they can be compressed onto the endo of the cable with the supplied Compression tool and coaxial cable strippers.

The cable will then be ready to connect to the VoD unit.

What coaxial cable can I use for VoD measurements?

Most quality 75 Ohm coaxial cable will be sufficient for the use with ShotTrack VoD Product. We recommend high quality RG6/U Quad Shield.

RG59/U and RG59 Mini are also good alternatives.

What connectors should be used?

For RG6U Quad Shield we use Blue BNC Compression Connectors which have superior advantages. When using alternative cable, communicate with Access Communications to determine the best solution.

What is the best cable for underground testing?

RG59 Mini is a good cable for underground use, it has a diameter of around 3mm and is highly flexible.
