ISEE marked fifty years of its Annual Conference on Explosives and Blasting Technique this week at the Savannah Convention Center in Georgia. Nearly 1,700 blasters, manufacturers, regulators and suppliers came for four days in the exhibit hall, three days of technical sessions and two days of blasters training.
ShotTrack exhibited for the full run. An anniversary conference draws out the long-timers, and a good part of the week went on comparing notes on how velocity of detonation and vibration measurement has changed since the first conference in 1974, and how much of the physics has not.
